Knitters Help Out--Triple-dip
For Charity!!
Your $50 contribution could
become $200 in the hands of the charity! That's
a 300% increase over your original donation!!!
We all know of the devastation going on in Haiti. We hope you'll join
with us in our efforts to take advantage of an offer by one of our
vendors to double monetary contributions to the relief effort. In
addition to the doubling by our vendor, Y2E will double contributions
made, up to the first $1,000 contributed by our customers
(collectively). What does that mean? If you donate $50, we'll match it
with another $50 and send the $100 on to our vendor. The vendor will
match that $100 with another $100 and send it on to the appropriate
charity. That's $200 from your original $50! $50 is an example
only--we would love to accept donations large and small.
We will be sending our contribution in on
February 1st, so hurry

(think Noro, Debbie Bliss) sent retailers an email saying donations made
to certain charities earmarked for Haiti, up to the first $50,000, will
be matched dollar for dollar!! We responded by asking if they would
match our customers' donations, too. They agreed!! KFI will
match check or cash donations made to the
American Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders or Direct Relief
International (earmarked for Haiti) and send them on "in the name
of our industry and in all your good names".
If you require a tax deductible receipt, please donate in the form of a
check. Since we are not the actual non-profit charity, we cannot
provide you with a receipt for tax deduction (we can, of course, provide
you with a receipt of funds paid to us). Please consult your tax
advisor as to the use of a canceled check as a receipt for tax purposes.
